Art in the Library
Western artist Len Babb is exhibiting some of his wonderful paintings depicting buckaroo culture and old west history in the Community Room. Judy Hayden, recently moved to Sisters, has some of her lovely watercolor paintings of scenes from the Pacific Northwest on display in the computer room.
Many varieties of art are featured throughout the year at the
Sisters Public Library.
The Friends of the Sisters Library Art Committee encourages the display of loaned and permanent art at the Sisters Public Library. The exhibit of art supports the informational, educational, cultural and recreational roles of the library system and provides artists with the opportunity to display works in the Library.
The “Annual Art Exhibit” is the highlighted display for the month of January & February. Local Sisters artists are invited to display their masterpieces with an artist reception to start the exhibit.
Other exhibits include an array of colorful quilts handcrafted by quilters of the Northwest and displayed during the month of July to kick off the Sisters Quilt Show.
