What a great success and super good time everyone had at this year’s Doggie Dash! We had 85 participants (up from last year’s 51). The 5K run and two-mile walk had some big tail wags and happy faces. Mt. Bachelor Kennel Club offered an obedience rally for any dog that knew basic commands and Bend Agility Action Dogs (BAAD) offered agility demonstrations with members and their canine companions all morning. The Doggie Talent Contest, sponsored by Furry Friends, was a tight competition with great local talent. There were raffles, shelter dogs, wellness exams and shots, and lots of ‘doggie music’ provided by Rodger Gabrielson.

Friends of the Sisters Library would like to thank our generous sponsors for helping us with this event: Black Butte Ranch, Energyneering Solutions, Five Pines Lodge & Conference Center, Groomingdale’s/Central Bark, The Nugget, Sisters Veterinary Clinic, Petsmart, Bank of the Cascades, Bend Broadband, Green Ridge Physical Therapy, Lutton’s Hardware, Sisters Feed and Sisters Kiwanis.
